Your new role:
Your role as Retail Area Manager will involve managing the retail network in the Upper North East region. Your role is key to ensuring the stores are able to achieve their sales performance targets and there are strategies to improve stores's capacity to increase revenue. An equally vital part of your role is to maintain positive and safe work environment, and staff are well-equipped to achieve their individual performance goals. Your proven success in managing multiple stores, achieving sales targets and leading/inspiring team members are highly critical to this role.
Your responsibilities in your new role:
5. Leading, growing and developing teams of paid employees and volunteers
6. Ensuring extraordinary customer service is provided to every customer, every time
7. Embedding exceptional operational and visual merchandise standards
8. Meeting and exceeding sales and KPI performance of the stores
9. Champion the voice of the donor by upholding the highest standards in product sorting, pricing, and placement
10. Building and supporting the volunteer workforce and engaging with the local community
11. Role-modelling a 'safety first' culture in stores
12. Use the company’s mission and values to support decision making, act as a brand advocate inside and outside of the stores
To be successful in this role, you will need:
13. Relevant tertiary qualification/s in business, management and/or retail and demonstrated significant experience working in the management of large retail outlet/s.
14. Demonstrated ability in successfully leading retail and supply chain operations.
15. Proven people management skills including leading, motivating, coaching and developing teams.
16. Proven ability to review and analyse business data and analytics to enable effective reporting and decision-making on operational performance.
17. Financial acumen and experience in managing P&L
18. High-level understanding of current issues facing the retail sector and not for profit industry.
19. NSW driver licence and ability to travel across the region.
