MTANSW has an opportunity for an Apprentice looking for a start in the Panel Beating area of Automotive. The position is located in Penrith.
On-the-job training as a Panel Beater Apprentice could see you working in a crash repairer, new or used car dealership, or even with a motor vehicle manufacturer.
Responsibilities: Determining the nature and extent of damage to a vehicle so it can be expertly repaired. Repairing, removing or replacing damaged panels and sub-structures. Returning a car to manufacturer's specifications using specialised tools. Using mechanical and hydraulic equipment, and computer alignment programs and processes. Using metal welding and modern bonding techniques. Filing, grinding and sanding panel surfaces. Re-fitting body hardware such as door locks. Realigning chassis and body frames. Removing and replacing a vehicle's auto-electrical components if damaged. Note: Please note only Australian Permanent Residents will be considered.
