Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our high performing CHPP Maintenance Team on site. Clermont Open Cut produces close to 12 million tonnes of coal per year and is a high performing, low cost, truck & shovel operation, located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin. Reporting to the CHPP Shift Supervisor, the CHPP Mechanical Fitter will perform operational activities making sure CHPP production targets are met by maximising plant throughput and minimising downtime whilst demonstrating a strong commitment to health, safety and the environment.
In this role you will be responsible for: Providing safe and efficient assistance to operation equipment.Undertaking preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs on equipment such as pumps, conveyors and hydraulic systems.Performing mechanical fault finding and diagnostics work at the CHPP.Inspecting, maintaining and repairing electrical fixed plant in accordance with AS3000 and relevant legislation.Maintaining a high level of positive safety performance and workplace culture through teamwork, personal commitment, and application of the company values.About you: Relevant trade qualifications.5+ years experience in fixed plant operations.Demonstrated knowledge of coal processing.Previous experience in coal handling and processing plants.Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask.Ability to liaise and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.Show motivation with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team.Possess attention to detail and high interpersonal, communication and leadership skills.Glencore provides unrivalled career and development prospects, great communities and the opportunity to work with leaders in your field.
