About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to lead and manage the Accounts Payable team.
This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee both onshore and offshore operations, drive process improvements, and foster strong relationships across various business functions.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and develop both onshore and offshore accounts payable teams, ensuring a collaborative and efficient work environment.
* Manage and optimise offshore accounts payable operations, ensuring integration and performance align with business requirements.
* Drive change management initiatives, such as policy improvements and the adoption of new technologies.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, ensuring timely payments and proactive resolution of discrepancies.
* Continuously identify and implement process improvements to streamline work flows and enhance efficiency and accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal controls, providing regular reports on accounts payable performance and metrics.
* Lead the efficient processing of invoices, expense reports, and payment runs, ensuring accurate and timely transaction recordings.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to drive improvements and ensure seamless accounts payable processes.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or relevant certification is a plus).
* 5-7 years of experience in managing an accounts payable team or a similar financial role.
* Proven experience managing offshore operations and international teams.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and accounts payable best practices.
* Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on motivating and developing staff.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify discrepancies and address complex issues.
* Experience with change management initiatives and process optimisation.
* Proficiency in accounting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and financial analysis tools.
* Familiarity with AP automation solutions is a plus.
