Responsibilities include:
* Overseeing the kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
* Ensure that dishes meet quality standardsand are served in a Timely manner.
* Manage kitchen staff,maintain inventory levels, and adhere to food safety regulations.
* Menu Planning– Collaborate with management to develop menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability of ingredients.
* Food Preparation– Prepare and cook dishes according to established recipes and standards. Ensure consistency and high quality in all food items.
* Kitchen Management– Oversee kitchen operations, including staffing, scheduling, and training of kitchen personnel. Delegate tasks and supervise staff to ensure smooth operation.
* Quality Control– Inspect food items for freshness and quality. Monitor portion sizes and presentation to maintain standards.
* Inventory Management– Manage inventory levels and order supplies as needed. Keep track of food costs and minimize waste.
* Food Safety and Sanitation– Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen area.
* Customer Service– Interact with customers to address any concerns or special requests. Strive to provide exceptional dining experiences.
* Adaptability– Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques. Adapt menu offerings to accommodate dietary restrictions or changing tastes.
To fill the position, you must have:
* Experience: Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience as a Chef
* Qualification:Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery / Certificate IV in Kitchen management or higher relevant hospitality qualification
* Knowledge of Nepalese Cuisine:Priority will be given to people having previous work experience in Nepalese Restaurants.
* Passion for Cooking- A love for creating delicious and visually appealing dishes.
* Creativity: A flair for experimenting with flavors and presentation.
* Ability to train, motivate and counsel staff in relation to performance issues Exceptional levels of cleanliness and organisation
* Management, communication and organisational skills
* Skills:Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, excellent time management, and strong teamwork skills.
