The importance of this role
We have an opportunity for a Personal Care Worker with Aged Care experience to join our team at Little Mountain Aged Care Service on a Permanent Part-time basis that includes Casual and Night Shift positions.
You will be responsible for providing direct care to residents, assisting residents in undertaking daily living activities that meet the resident’s individual physical, spiritual, social, and cultural needs.
You will contribute as an integral member of the Seniors Living group and support activities aligned with the strategic direction consistent with the mission and values of Churches of Christ.
As a Personal Care Worker, you will:
* Provide personal care, physical and emotional support to residents who require assistance with daily living.
* Participate in the development and review of resident/client care plans; ensure all necessary documentation is complete and accurate to facilitate ongoing planning and provision of care for residents.
* Maintain the personal dignity and privacy of all residents, their representatives, and staff, and ensure that all interaction with residents and their representatives are treated confidentially.
* Support and assist in the provision of a comfortable, safe, and secure environment.
* Undertake and complete tasks as delegated by Registered Nurse.
* Perform position responsibilities in accordance with the Positive Wellbeing Model of Care.

You will have well-developed problem-solving, decision-making, and negotiation skills and proven ability and willingness to support a culture of safety, legislative compliance, quality, and continuous improvement.
Essential Experience, Qualifications and Work availability:
* Level 3 – demonstrated experience in a direct care role within aged care.
* Part-time hour shifts, 30 – 75 hrs per fortnight.
* MUST be available for weekday shifts from Monday – Friday AM / PM and there is some weekend work, flexible to work across a 7-day roster covering Morning, Afternoon, Night duty, Sick leave, and Annual leave support positions.
* Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care) or Certificate III in Aged Care equivalent.
* Completion of the following units of competency: HLTHPS006 - Assist clients with medication.
* Certificate IV in Ageing Support (Aged Care).
* Possess a current First Aid certificate and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate.
Pre-requisite
* Possess a current National Police Certificate – or the ability to acquire.
* Possess a current NDIS Worker Screening Check – or the ability to acquire.
