About This Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity as we are seeking a Manager, Academic Programs and Student Support. Your responsibilities in this position are to ensure an efficient management of the School's academic and student administration team and processes which will enhance the School's ability to meet its key objectives in the areas of teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Lead the academic programs and student support team, managing staff performance, development, workload distribution, and annual performance appraisals.
* Coordinate the implementation of University and Faculty policies, procedures, and academic directives, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
* Oversee academic and student administration processes, including data analysis, course planning, academic misconduct, and casual academic staff hiring.
* Provide strategic support to the Director of Teaching and Learning and offer advice to school leadership on student matters and policy changes.
* Contribute to program and course reviews, including accreditation processes, by compiling data, preparing reports, and benchmarking studies.
* Coordinate school representation at student recruitment events, ensure compliance with the ESOS Act, and participate in the development and review of school policies.
About You
* Completion of an undergraduate degree with at least four years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including staff management in an educational setting.
* Proven administrative experience in tertiary education, with a minimum of two years at an intermediate level managing staff to achieve successful outcomes.
* Detailed knowledge or the ability to quickly acquire knowledge of university policies and procedures related to student and academic administration.
* Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with experience liaising with stakeholders, providing advice, and negotiating to achieve desired outcomes.
* High-level analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to perform statistical analyses, interpret data trends, and develop solutions, alongside policy interpretation and implementation.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple projects and deadlines, with sound judgement, adaptability, and proficiency in university information systems or the ability to quickly learn them.
