Bagdad Education and Care – a Nature Play Centre, is an Award-Winning 36 place Long Day Care Centre located 30 mins north of Hobart. We are situated near nature reserves and within walking distance to playgrounds, a tennis court, golf course, and sports oval which offer many opportunities to enrich the program.

A rare position exists within our growing, professional educator team for an experienced, qualified (or working towards a diploma qualification) educator.
About you:
You will…

* Embrace the outdoors through nature play and support children to explore and respect their environment through regular nature-based excursions using the service’s commuter bus and nature walks that foster links to community, culture, and sustainability.
* Have experience offering child-led, play-based educational programs to a broad range of age groups and able to assess and document learning (computer and tablet literate) and look for learning opportunities to scaffold and extend and then evaluate as part of the programming cycle.
* Be flexible to work 2-4 days a week (negotiable), between 6.45am and 6pm Monday to Friday.
* Hold a Diploma in Children's Services (or working towards completion). Traineeships may be available to the right person.
* Hold a current WWVP card, police check, and first aid (including emergency asthma management and anaphylaxis) certificate.
* Have a competent knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework, National Quality Framework including the Standards and National Regulations.
* Have excellent communication skills and the ability to work within an established team.
