Join our clients Shepparton Depot as a Production Supervisor, where you'll oversee production operations, champion safety, and drive continuous improvement.
About the Role Reporting to the Regional Depot Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for managing the work performance of the crew to meet and exceed production output and cost budgets.
You will ensure the smooth workflow of operations while fostering a culture of safety and excellence in manufacturing practices.
Key Responsibilities Health, Safety & Environment: Embed a Zero Harm culture and adhere to safety policies, procedures, and legislative requirements.
Conduct thorough investigations into risks/incidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain high standards of housekeeping and environmental compliance.
Production Management: Lead the team in achieving optimal workflow and production efficiencies.
Implement Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), 5S methodologies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Monitor and report operational KPIs, implementing corrective actions as needed.
People Leadership: Develop, coach, and lead a flexible, engaged, and skilled manufacturing team.
Conduct weekly team briefings and maintain open, transparent communication.
Identify and address training needs to ensure team competency.
Quality Assurance: Ensure all production activities align with the company's quality system and objectives.
Investigate quality issues, provide feedback, and implement corrective actions.
Continuous Improvement: Drive lean manufacturing principles and statistical process controls.
About You To be successful in this role, you will possess: Experience in production management within a manufacturing environment.
Tertiary qualifications in Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related discipline (desired but not essential).
Knowledge of safety, quality, and environmental management systems.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
Proficiency in manufacturing systems and software (e.g., Kiwi Plan, SAP).
Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building capabilities.
