AGL's Health, Safety & Environment team have an opportunity for a Lead – Occupational Health, Hygiene & Safety. Based out of Bayswater Power Station, you will be ensuring potential health and safety hazards across AGL Macquarie's assets are identified, evaluated and controlled effectively through the implementation and optimisation of health, hygiene and safety programs.
What you'll be doing: Designing, implementing and governing the hygiene monitoring program.
This includes exposure monitoring, health monitoring, reporting and potential hazards (dust, noise, asbestos, chemicals, heat).Developing and broadcasting relevant occupational hygiene procedures and instructions that form AGL's broader HSE management system.Actively participating in the delivery of the Health, Safety & Environment strategic programs, ensuring regulatory compliance is achieved at operational sites within AGL Macquarie.Providing support, guidance and advice across different teams and business units across the organisation.Leading incident investigations, conducting safety audits and increasing health & safety awareness.What you'll bring: Demonstrated experience within an operational occupational health and safety industry (e.g.
energy, manufacturing or construction).Practical experience with occupational health program implementation.Experience managing hygiene monitoring programs, using a risk-based approach.Sound understanding of governance and compliance requirements for occupational health standards.Qualifications: Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety, applied Science or related field.Applications close 15 October.
