About the role
We are currently inviting applications for a Manager- Operations Finance (Cheese) to ensure financial performance outcomes are achieved. Reporting to the Senior Manager, the main purpose of this role is to business partner to Bega Operations General Manager and site leadership team(s) to ensure financial performance outcomes are achieved. Works with central finance team to ensure delivery of specific insight and analytics whilst championing governance & financial controls. Actively lead optimisation projects that support value creation objectives of the area of the organisation

The role is permanent, full-time, and will be based in either Bega, Ridge St NSW or Strathmerton, VIC, in a hybrid working model.
Responsibilities
* Partner operations - Be a copilot for the area of the organisation and actively participate in value creation agenda. Apply commercial and business acumen to lead strategic thinking. Actively ideate and support delivery of improved financial outcomes for the area of the organisation.
* Financial management and control - Work within established systems to deliver prescribed outcomes for a designated area of financial control.
* Financial modelling - Provide financial modelling input into business cases, costs, and schedules to support growth in the business.
* Functional strategy formation - Play a key role in development the operational strategy including financial and non-financial performance targets.
* Be a key contributor to the annual budget and quarterly forecast processes, ensuring engagement with key stakeholders and leading presentations with management
* Governance on CI initiatives
About you
* Tertiary Qualification in Finance, Accounting or similar discipline with CA/CPA accreditation
* Strong commercial/analytical experience with comprehensive understanding of standard product costings systems and inventory valuation adjustments
* Ability to analyse key operational and financial trends across the business
* Ability to manage large volumes of data and develop models to manipulate data efficiently
* Strong project management experience with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines

Our Ridge street site services many customers in a contract manufacturing capacity focused on packaged, natural and processed cheeses. These include the renown Bega cheese blocks- mild, tasty, and vintage, shredded and cubed cheese, natural slices, parmesan, colby, mozzarella and burger slice cheeses and an exciting new Lactose and Dairy Free range.
