Established firm who has an abundance of bespoke Single Resi clients whose homes need your design & execution.
Your new company
This well-respected design studio believes that design ideas are better when everyone comes together. With a strong reputation for what they do, especially in the sectors of Community, Residential, Public/Education, this firm is growing and is excited to bring in an experienced Design Architect to assist in the front-end phase of the project for a maternity cover. My client is in the process of securing a few more new projects, so there might be a potential longevity for the right person to stay on.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a minimum of 5-7 years' of experience. Ideally, with residential and education sector experience. Local government/tender experience would be a bonus. This role is more front-end in the concept/design space, and we'd want someone with a bit of a 'can-do' attitude, and someone who is also good at client relationships.
Your new role
* Manage projects from inception through to completion;
* Maintain high quality design outcomes while ensuring projects are delivered on time and on budget;
* Assist with project design in association with directors;
* Attend client meetings and presentations, including meeting minutes;
* Liaise with all consultants, regulatory bodies, and local councils throughout all phases of projects;
* Produce 2D/3D drawings/sketches using Revit;
* Sketch concept ideas and details by hand;
* Be able to work simultaneously on different projects;
* Assisting other staff with queries throughout all phases of projects, including training/mentoring of graduates as required;
* Contribute towards the creation of agenda and strategy for projects;
* Clear understanding of the current stage of project and scope with a view to identifying what is outside the scope and bringing it to the attention of the Team Leader for additional billable work;
* Be willing to make suggestions on how office procedures and culture can be improved;
* Be able to review drawings/documents thoroughly.
What you'll get in return
You are important! This is not just a job to have you paid to do the same thing all over again. You will be given technology that is constantly upgraded to help you to do your work. You will work with a 'family' of people who are like-minded, work hard but also who enjoy a bit of fun along the way.
