What role will you play?In this role, you'll partner with Macquarie Capital to ensure that Technology Risk is managed effectively, in line with Macquarie's Operational Risk Management Frameworks and associated policies. You'll work with the team to drive a strong, proactive risk culture and a clear understanding of the risk framework.
You will work collaboratively with the Technology team and senior business stakeholders to identify operational issues and control breakdowns and advise on proposed responses. You will also drive discussions around operational risk incident investigations to identify root cause, breakdown in controls and assess strategic solutions which should be in place to prevent a re-occurrence.
You will also conduct controls assurance reviews, risk workshops, technology risk related training and any other ad hoc risk discussion as required and support ad hoc tactical and strategic risk initiatives to meet business and operational demands through thoughtful partnership.
What you offerTechnology expertise with operational risk management, assurance experience, or data analytics.Ability to think laterally, problem solve and grasp abstract concepts and complex situations.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and the capability to initiate and lead conversations with business leaders and risk management colleagues regarding anticipated and emerging issues are essential.Highly motivated and comfortable working within a dynamic, fast paced, enterprise agile environment.Experience gained in a risk management/audit role, gained in a financial services organisation or professional services, with a solid grasp of operational risk management principles will be highly regarded.Prior equities experience will be highly regarded.We love hearing from anyone inspired to build a better future with us, if you're excited about the role or working at Macquarie we encourage you to apply.
