TheRole
As the School Psychologist you willbe part of a team, counselling adolescent students at CaulfieldGrammar's Wheeler's Hill SeniorCampus.
In this role you will build strongprofessional relationships with key stakeholders to support thedelivery of counselling services and liaise withstaff,students, parents and at times, someexternal professionals. In addition to this, you may also bemanaging educational, social,behavioural and emotional difficulties and perform educationalassessments.
This is a Part-Time, 6-month FixedTerm opportunity that works during Term time only and allows you abreak during the school holidays.
KeyResponsibilities:
1. Apply your expertise to support the psychological, social and emotional wellbeing of students.
2. Provide counselling support to students including undertaking risk assessments as required.
3. Provide small-group interventions as required.
4. Provide crisis response and be involved in critical incident management.
5. Be actively involved in the school’s pastoral care and personal development program.
6. Ensure administration and record keeping is maintained to a high standard.
7. Model and live the Caulfield Grammar School values and behaviours.
SelectionCriteria:
8. Demonstrated experience as a psychologist working with adolescents, ideally within a school-based environment.
9. Confirmed registration with AHPRA, along with any relevant qualifications.
10. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written and the ability to develop appropriate relationships with staff, students and parents.
11. The capacity to work independently and as a member of a team.
12. Adherence to the Australian Psychological Society Codes of Ethics.
13. Employment Working With Children Check.
