About the role:
Working collaboratively with the Mine Manager, Mine team, Plant leadership team, Shot firer, Drill and Blast Contractors, Stripping Contractors, Surveyor and other Contractors, Government Departments – Workplace Standards, Local Community, Suppliers & Consultants, this is no simple undertaking and you’ll be challenged as you multi-task and prioritise under pressure, with timing on deliveries often critical to our business needs.
As a Mine Coordinator, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
1. Perform the acting Railton Mine Manager and Mine Team leader as required
2. Lead and take part in SHE training, attending communication sessions and tool box talks
3. JSEA's, HAZOPs and risk assessments and incident investigations as required
4. Frequently visit job sites and commend good SHE performance and as required
5. Mentor/coach individuals or teams to improve/ensure SHE performance needs are met
6. Identify areas of improvement for direct reports
7. Conduct annual performance review of staff reports as required
8. Promote the culture of continuous improvement
9. Improve plant, process and people performance
10. Supervision of Drill and Blast operation and Shot firer
11. Responsible for the Drill, Blast, and Shot initiation planning
12. Provide daily mine production planning and quality control, ensuring output of the mine production
13. Complete monthly Production Reports accounting in SAP
14. Assist in preparing mine service budgets, financial plans and forecasting’s
15. Participate in monthly forecasting sessions and continuously review costs within area of control
About you:
16. Shot firer licence (desirable)
17. 5+ years' experience in mining operation
18. Experience with; Supervision or leading hand experience, Project Management, Employee and Contractor Management and Production
19. Understanding of the Mining Legislation, licencing and conditions
20. Drilling & Blasting experience
21. Production Scheduling
22. Open Pit Mine Planning
23. Good knowledge of Mobile Equipment Operation
24. Production and Cost Budgeting
25. Forecasting and Project Management experience
26. Safety, Health, Environment knowledge
27. QA Systems Management
