Be a key player in contributing to financial strategies that support cutting-edge healthcare services across the state.Your expertise will have a meaningful impact on improving patient outcomes and ensuring sustainable, high-quality care.Take the next step in your finance career and help us improve lives across NSW!We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum.Our network of pathologists is supported by scientists, technicians, and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients.We encourage our staff to be involved in research and innovation opportunities to help create safer, healthier communities.Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.Being part of NSW Health Pathology means you're helping create better health and justice systems every day.What we can offer you Accrued Days Off in addition to Annual Leave Generous salary packaging options and other fringe benefits Corporate wellbeing programs, including the Fitness Passport Learning and development opportunities, including in-house training with RTO My Health Learning What you'll be doing Provide management accounting support to operational areas, NSW Health Pathology Executive, and the Ministry of Health.The Management Accountant will prepare budgets, develop reporting, and analyse key financial information to ensure cost centre managers and operational areas have the information required to make informed financial decisions.The position works closely with the Senior Management Accountant, Assistant Management Accountant, Director of Financial Operations, Portfolio Directors, and Business Managers.This requires a strong understanding of financial principles, financial systems, and excellent communication skills.Minimum Requirements: Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce and full membership of a professional accounting body or close to completion.Detailed understanding of accounting theory including performance reporting, budget and forecast development with understanding of the principles around budget maintenance and reporting results against an agreed budget.Capacity to build, develop and sustain positive partnerships and productive working relationships with all levels of staff both internal and external.Experience in advising on the financial implications and consequences of business decisions by the interpretation and creation of financial and performance reporting.Ability to demonstrate a high level of proficiency using Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, as well as the ability to use the tools within Microsoft Excel to import and massage large volumes of transactions in a format that will assist analysing financial results.Significant experience and skills using a recognised financial management information system in a large and complex organisation such as Oracle Financial Management System or similar.Demonstrated high level interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaising and negotiating at all levels with a wide range of stakeholders.Demonstrated strong problem-solving ability being able to identify and resolve issues to strict deadlines to meet stakeholder expectations.Need more information?
