The Position
Title: Patient Services Assistant
Department: Corporate Services
Classification: Health & Allied, Managers & Admin Workers EA
Status: Casual
Applications are sought from suitably qualified staff with previous experience supporting patients, clients and other clinical staff in a hospital/health setting to work in the Corporate Services department at Echuca Regional Health.
Key responsibilities include:
* Cleaning
* Basic laundry work and the sorting and packing of linen
* General Orderly/Porterage/Courier tasks
* Respond to all calls in a timely manner
* Participate in departmental and organisational meetings as required
* Follow task list and work schedule allocated to your area
* Be aware of and respect patient / visitor privacy
* Complete and maintain all relevant documentation as required and determined by the area of work
* Other duties as directed
* Participate in all training requirements as directed

* Understanding of the Victorian Cleaning Standards for Public Hospitals
This position requires completion of a satisfactory National Police Check and (where relevant) provision of a Working With Children Check and check on the Disability Worker Exclusion Scheme prior to appointment. In addition, this position requires evidence of vaccination status for COVID-19.
