NSW Ports is a privately-owned consortium of leading institutional investors managing the ports of Port Botany and Port Kembla, as well as the Cooks River Intermodal Terminal and the Enfield Intermodal Logistics Centre.

Reporting to the Planning Manager, the Planning Officer will coordinate statutory planning matters for NSW Ports including development applications and approval processes for NSW Ports and tenant development activities in accordance with required regulations and environmental requirements.
Key Responsibilities Prepare development applications and Review of Environmental Factors for NSW Ports and obtain their approval.
Review tenant development applications and provide regulatory and environmental advice on their applications.
Review referred development applications and prepare submissions to protect port development, operations, and assets.
Prepare and implement port development guidelines.
Assist with the preparation of long-term strategic planning documents for NSW Ports.
Meet with relevant stakeholders.
Travel to NSW Ports sites as required.
Requirements: Tertiary degree in a relevant discipline with 3+ years' experience in town/urban planning.
Experience in planning and environmental assessments.
Understanding of and experience in dealing with industrial land use planning matters.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal planning and environmental legislation and instruments.
Experience in stakeholder and client management skills.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and project management skills.
Highly developed writing and verbal communication skills.
Driver License and car.
