Role Overview
Reporting to the CFO this General Manager Finance will lead a diverse finance team of 40 taking full ownership of group finance function.
You will provide strong support to CFO by leading core Finance teams, including Management Reporting, General Ledger Accounting, Tax and Treasury, Shared Services, and Corporate Reporting. Drive team performance by setting clear expectations, fostering development, and conducting thorough analysis of results. Maintain a well-controlled, accurate accounting environment, ensuring financial statements, reporting, and disclosures comply with US GAAP and IFRS standards.
Partnering the CFO, you will be a strong influencer able to support senior management whilst meeting multiple deadlines. Innovative with focus on continuous improvement will set the successful candidate up for succession to CFO.
Responsibilities
* Leading a diverse finance team of 40
* Own the group finance function, managing month end reporting across 7 states and 3 countries
* Delivery of all corporate reporting and compliance matters (US GAAP / IFRS)
* Support the ELT, US parent and manage external stakeholders
* Process improvement and cost reduction
* Drive team development while fostering strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
Candidate Profile
You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and are CPA or CA qualified, with over 7 years of experience in a Big 4 or top-tier national accounting environment. With 10+ years in senior roles across accounting, tax, and treasury management, you bring a thorough understanding of US GAAP, IFRS, and SOX requirements.
Your strong technical proficiency includes hands-on experience with Oracle, BW, BPC (or comparable ERP systems), OneSource (or equivalent), and Microsoft Office applications, equipping you to manage complex financial processes seamlessly.
