The Radio Installation Technicians role is responsible for assisting with the installation and deinstallation of communications and associated technical equipment used within the SA Ambulance Service fleet of vehicles, ensuring that such equipment is fitted and maintained in compliance with SA Ambulance Service requirements and appropriate Australian Standards. We take care of you Access to a range of staff and wellness support programs Key Responsibilities: Vehicle Installations: Ensure all radio communication equipment is properly installed and maintained in a serviceable condition within vehicles, adhering to operational requirements and standards. Component Sourcing and Continuity: Manufacture, source, and ensure a continuous supply of necessary installation components and parts to support ongoing vehicle installations and maintenance. Vehicle Fault Diagnosis and Rectification: Assess and rectify vehicle faults related to radio communication systems, ensuring minimal operational downtime and efficient resolution of issues. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain tools and equipment necessary for the role, ensuring they are in proper working condition and comply with established maintenance protocols. Record Keeping and Reporting: Update fleet management systems, maintain accurate records of installations, vehicle faults, modifications, and movements, and provide regular updates to supervisors and relevant stakeholders. Teamwork and Communication: Foster effective teamwork and communication by handling requests promptly, providing exceptional customer service, sourcing information from users for fault diagnosis, contributing to continuous improvement efforts, attending meetings and training sessions, and coordinating with interdepartmental teams for optimal efficiency.
