About Your Opportunity Reporting to our Team Leader Cyber Security Operations, you will play a critical role ensuring the effective delivery of the cybersecurity operations function in collaboration with a 24x7 outsourced Security Operations Centre (SOC). You will provide specialized technical expertise to strengthen and maintain Seqwater’s cyber resilience by managing incidents, vulnerabilities, and advanced threats across IT and OT environments. Your responsibilities will also include working closely with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and the outsourced SOC to deliver key cybersecurity outcomes, while supporting the adoption of advanced capabilities such as AI-driven threat intelligence, Zero Trust frameworks, and Digital Forensics. Key responsibilities: Oversee the effective execution of cybersecurity operations by collaborating with the external SOC, ensuring proactive monitoring, incident detection and response, and alignment with Seqwater’s security policies and incident management procedures. Lead and coordinate the full incident response lifecycle, minimising business disruption and maintaining strong security practices. Leverage AI-driven tools and methodologies for advanced threat detection, analysis and mitigation of emerging cyber threats across IT and OT environments. Lead and manage vulnerability identification, prioritisation and remediation, ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with IT and OT teams to address convergence risks and support frameworks like IEC 62443, enhancing protection for operational technology. Drive the adoption of advanced security solutions to enhance Seqwater’s cybersecurity maturity, including integration of AI-driven threat intelligence and digital forensics. Conduct regular assessments of security services and recommend improvements guided by a continuous improvement model. Provide expertise and advice to internal stakeholders on cybersecurity matters to build organisational security awareness. Ensure compliance with Seqwater’s cybersecurity policies, procedures and frameworks, supporting the reporting of security metrics and incidents. About you To be successful in this role, you will possess: Relevant Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related cyber security industry certification, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 4 years’ experience in any of the following areas: Security Analyst, Security Systems Integrator, or similar position. Experience working with outsourced SOC models, including vendor management and SLA oversight. Experience integrating security solutions into hybrid environments (cloud/on-premises). Experience in technologies such as SIEM, EDR, IAM, Microsoft Defender Suite, and Azure security services. Experience in advanced threat hunting, cyber incident response, and risk remediation. Relevant cyber security qualifications and/or training (e.g., CISSP, SANS GIAC, GCIH/GCFA, Azure certification, etc). Experience in Critical Infrastructure environments or similar environments and their constraints. This position has a salary range of $118,579.95 – 129,013.30 (dependent on experience) plus 12.75% superannuation.
