The successful applicant will be working on a large and complex agile transformation program, the Senior Service Transition specialist plays a vital role as the connection point between delivery squads, stakeholders, and program leadership, ensuring that roadmap releases are delivered on time, within scope and are of high quality.
Tasked with overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle, the Senior Service Transition Specialist collaborates closely with cross functional teams to plan, coordinate, and execute releases all in alignment with the transformation strategy and without compromising operational objectives, whilst also fostering a culture of continuous improvement and rapid delivery
Some of your duties will include:
1. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop release plans that align with the overall program roadmap and objectives. This involves identifying release milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements.
2. Coordinate release activities across multiple teams, departments, and external partners to ensure smooth execution. This includes scheduling release cycles, managing release calendars, and facilitating communication among stakeholders.
3. Identify potential risks and dependencies that could impact release timelines or quality. Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans to address risks and minimize disruptions.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Technical Expertise
4. Demonstrated experience working on a large ICT transformation program with a focus on program wide release planning, coordination and deployment activities.
5. Proven government experience with a strong understanding of governance protocols and ability to present technical content to executive audiences and governance forums.
6. Strong technical proficiency including solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and deployment automation tools.
7. Strong knowledge and experience operating within an agile delivery environment and proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
8. Certified Scrum Master
9. SAFe certifications are highly desirable
10. Relevant tertiary or post graduate qualifications are highly desirable
11. Appropriate vocation qualifications and certifications, Project Management, Agile, Software, Platforms, Cloud, Service Management or Change Management, are highly desirable
