Position Title: TEAM LEADER DISABILITY TEAM LEADERStatus: Part-TimeAward: Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services (SCHADS) AwardPosition PurposeThe purpose of this role is to provide Team Leader direction/supervision support to participants and ensure their health, safety, and well-being by providing individualised support that will enable them to achieve their goals of living an independent and fulfilling life.Reporting to: Support Coordinator, Supported Independent Living ManagerSkills:An understanding of Positive Behaviour Support Plans or the ability to quickly acquire the skills;Preferably a minimum of one year of experience supporting people with disability or mental health conditions and/or with complex and multiple care needs;An understanding of the term "implementation of Restrictive Practice";Good practical and/or theoretical knowledge of working with people with challenging behaviour.Qualifications And Experience:Relevant qualifications in disability, mental health, community services or similar fields preferredExperience in performing manual handling tasks such as hoistingA current Disability Worker Screening clearance, Blue Card, or the ability to acquire one before startingPersonal Attributes:Ability to work under pressure (essential)A positive approach to change (essential)Creative and innovative (desirable)Special Conditions:A driver's licence accompanied by a registered and safe vehicle that includes comprehensive motor vehicle insuranceKEY ACCOUNTABILITIESKEY RESULT AREA -
