Due to a consistent rate of company growth, which is paving the way for further expansion into local markets, we currently have a requirement for an Electrical Engineering Technician to join us on a full-time basis in our Perth, Malaga based office.
This is a permanent role so applicants either need to live locally or be willing to relocate, if locating to Perth from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand we would be happy to discuss relocation costs.
Candidates who can demonstrate a high theoretical and practical knowledge with all HV primary plant and basic secondary systems should apply.
This role also has the potential of national and international travel on a project by project basis.
Main responsibilities include but are not limited to:
1. Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV primary plant including power transformers & HV Cables.
2. Basic secondary system testing and fault finding.
3. Assist in preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, test plans and create detailed technical reports on completion of works.
Experience, skills and qualifications:
1. Must hold "A Grade" (Fitter and Mechanic) Electrical Workers License.
2. Diploma in Power Systems or similar would be highly regarded however is not a prerequisite.
3. Minimum 5 years' HV technical experience.
4. HV Switching Ticket preferred.
5. Working knowledge of appropriate Australian and International Standards and Codes of Practice relevant to the HV Industry.
6. Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
7. Proven ability meeting project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
8. Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism & communication.
