Ready to make a real impact at a company that’s shaping the future of SaaS? Our client is on the lookout for a skilled Staff Attorney with a strong background in commercial transactions and privacy law to join their dynamic legal team. If you thrive on navigating complex agreements, love tackling the nuances of data protection laws, and can juggle a variety of priorities with ease, this might just be your next big move!
What you’ll be doing:
* Leading contract negotiations with external customers and vendors, ensuring they align with the company’s goals while mitigating risks.
* Collaborating with internal teams to address privacy and compliance inquiries and complete customer due diligence.
* Providing business-savvy legal advice to guide internal stakeholders, helping resolve issues and assessing risks across the board.
* Drafting and negotiating a range of agreements, including software licensing, cloud services, reseller agreements, and more.
* Keeping an eye on evolving global data protection regulations, ensuring compliance with GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles, and beyond.
* Assisting in dispute resolution with customers, vendors, or employees, liaising with outside counsel as needed.

* Strong knowledge of global data protection laws (GDPR, Australian Privacy Principles, etc.), with a focus on the Australian Privacy Act.
* Proven ability to draft and negotiate complex agreements like software licenses, RFPs, NDAs, and more.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills—whether it's negotiating with a vendor or working with cross-functional teams, you know how to get your point across effectively.
* Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
* Comfortable working independently, managing your time efficiently, especially when coordinating with international clients.
* Admitted to practice by the Supreme Court of an Australian state or territory, with a valid practising certificate.
