They operate an ever-expanding purpose-built facility in Derrimut, but service clients nationwide, undertaking projects within the heavy engineering sector supporting a variety of essential industries.
They are currently in the market to appoint a suitably experienced Technical Writer to their team.
ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Engineering Manager you will be part of an ever-expanding engineering team supporting their manufacturing by producing equipment manuals and MDR's (Manufacturer's Data Reports), operational / instructional documentation and creating maintenance schedules for specific builds.
Duties include but are not limited to.
Writing of Equipment, User/Operator operation / instruction manuals & brief / simplified user guides Taking photos of equipment and components during and at conclusion of the build process, while maintaining all photo records Edit & manipulate photographs for manuals covers and inclusion in manuals Creating / maintaining internal and external / customer Procedures / Work Instructions, Parts documents, and their databases/ registers Creating, sourcing and compiling certifications, approvals, etc as required for QA & MDR Produce manuals, MDRs & Dossiers in printed and electronic copies (PDF) versions and despatching to customers SKILLS & EXPEIRENCE To be considered for this role, you will bring.
Experience in a similar role or having performed related duties previously Reasonable technical / engineering knowledge or basic understanding (Mechanical, Electrical, Pneumatic, Hydraulics) Good IT skills with a working knowledge of Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word & Excel), Adobe – Acrobat, with graphics manipulation & editing advantageous Proactive approach with a strong attention to detail 2D & 3D engineering software advantageous but not essential Well-developed inter-personal skills, able to work with various Departments and Shopfloor / Production personnel Good communication skills, written & verbal & command of English.
