They occupy a layer between the ERP systems used for resource and inventory management and the process control systems responsible for manufacturing automation.As a software engineer, you will be responsible for working with MES analysts and modelers to implement the integrations and business logic powering MES for the production of physical devices.***This is a specialized engineering role; industry training and certification are required and will be provided by Capgemini.Key Responsibilities:Build backend business logic in C#/.NET.Work with analysts and modelers to understand the system requirements and translate them into robust software.Build automated functional and end-to-end tests.Perform analysis and build reporting to provide visibility to the business.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a field relevant to software development or manufacturing (e.g. Software Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Process Engineering).5+ years of experience in software development with hands-on experience in C#.Working knowledge of SQL.Bonus points:Experience or knowledge in any of:MES software (e.g. Siemens Opcenter Execution, Oracle Cloud Manufacturing, Critical Manufacturing MES)Life sciences, medical technologyWeb front-end development (JavaScript, Vue.js, HTML/CSS etc).Web backend development with ASP.NET or similar.PLM (Product Lifecycle Management)Manufacturing and supply chain.Scripting and automation with PowerShell.Let us talk about what is in it for you!At Capgemini, we help you get the future you want not only in your career but for your life, and your wider community.
