Nurse Practitioner - Alcohol and Drug Services
The Department of Health is seeking a qualified Nurse Practitioner to join its team in Ulverstone, Tasmania.
The successful applicant will work as part of a multidisciplinary service providing care for patients with alcohol and other drug issues in an outpatient environment. The team works together to deliver excellence in healthcare, focusing on improved outcomes for consumers, the workforce, and the community.
The role involves working closely with addiction specialists, consultation liaison, clinical lead, registered nurses, team leader, and allied health/social workers to provide quality multidisciplinary service and patient management.
Key responsibilities include:
* Providing clinical leadership and authoritative expertise in clinical care and interventions.
* Developing and implementing education and professional development activities.
* Working with high autonomy and accountability within a multidisciplinary environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Extensive advanced clinical experience in alcohol and drug services.
* High-level knowledge of comprehensive assessments, diagnostics, treatment modalities, and referral skills.
* A proven ability to work independently and make sound judgments.
