About the Role
This individual will coordinate with landowners, assist with land lease negotiations and support the Development Manager throughout the land acquisition process. They will provide advice on property-related matters to help bring projects to financial close.
Collaborating with the Development, Engineering, Commercial and Financial teams, as well as leveraging expertise from the global team, this role plays a key part in ensuring successful project delivery. Additionally, they will engage with external stakeholders, including landowners, legal advisors, councils and consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
* Initial contact with land owners and supporting senior development team in negotiations to reach land lease agreements
* Managing the internal approval and document control process for property agreements
* Negotiating and concluding property rights for Wind, Solar and Energy Storage projects
* Supporting the project due diligence and financial close process
* Supporting new site selection, including rights and licenses
* Maintaining land templates and supporting the development of new documents
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a degree or relevant qualification in legal, property, land or estates management. 3-5 years' experience in land acquisition, preferably across energy, is highly desirable. A strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and a current driving license are also essential. The ability to travel in Regional Queensland is required.
