We're seeking passionate, cloud savvy, data engineers across different levels to help drive our commitments in our Data Strategy and achieve our vision for Commbank.data, a unified, world-class data platform enabling the next generation of AI enabled applications. Talk to us about how these arrangements might work for you. We're interested in hearing from people who: Are proficient in languages such as Python, SQL, DBT. Has experience working in AWS services such as S3, RDS, Redshift, Glue. Are familiar with the full software development lifecycle with a focus on data ingestion process, data transformation pipelines, data integration and visualisation. Understand basics of data profiling, numerical statistics. Has experience in handling large-scale data processing. Can provide code quality control through peer programming, code review and automated pipeline release management. Can coach junior engineers, share knowledge to uplift and improve software development practices. Technical skills: This is a highly technical role, requiring a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. You'll be a good match if you have previous experience in: Developing 3-tier application both on-premises and on cloud covering Frontend, Backend and Databases. Developed for data warehouses or data lakes. Experience with AWS services such as Lambda, Sage Maker, or EMR. Infrastructure as code using Cloud Formation or Terraform (desirable)Microservices design and implementation of highly scalable APIs. CI/CD tools (i.e. Git Hub Actions). Familiarity with technologies like Apache Kafka, AWS Kinesis, or similar. Familiarity with visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau or similar. Developed knowledge/understanding of (good to have): AWS certification with exposure to any of the following AWS Lambda, S3, Redshift, Dynamo DB. Application Security Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)Observability tools. Scripting using Python, SQL, DBT, Scala, Go. Tableau, Power BI for data visualization.
