Joining us means joining a caring, responsible, and innovative company where more than 80,000 people lead the way to greener and smarter mobility, worldwide.Based at Nowergup Maintenance Depot in Perth WA, on a 24 month max term engagement, join Alstom as Project Quality & Safety Manager (PrQSM) - Maintenance & Warranty on the Perth Metronet Project.Lead the resolution of defects found internally and externally (customer complaints) through 8D problem solving. Reporting to our Project Quality Manager, you are responsible for ensuring the Maintenance processes are followed, to ensure records are produced accurately and on time.Key ResponsibilitiesResolution of K1/K2 defects through 8D Methodologies, follow-up of actions maintaining Kx rules.Lead the Customer acceptance inspection process (Bellevue and / or Nowergup sites).Receive relevant quality record of each delivered unit from Industrial Quality (car history book, configuration data, OIL).Work with manufacturing team on closure of open items list, manage customer inspection findings.Interface between Alstom and suppliers for problem solving of supplier quality issues occurring in Revenue Services through the Supplier Quality Portal.Lead any quality activity on Alstom products during Warranty phase, as well as validation, certification, acceptance, product introduction, and warranty phase.Root cause analysis of malfunction/failure of operational equipment and lead the definition of preventative and corrective actions.Drive reliability growth through failure/event investigation and reliability forecast implementation (with RAMS support).Performance measurementsContainment and solution of K1S/K2/K3 issues on time (Considering K1S - safety relevant issue, K2 - issue causing major passenger service disruption, K3 - issue having impact on service availability and product reliability).Successful train acceptance process with customer.Completeness and Quality of failure/event diagnosis/data and relevant documentation.Achievement of configuration updates + REX implementation.Audit results (internal and external).Compliance with EHS rules and work-related processes.About You:Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Electrical) or equivalent experience.Communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships and influence.Experience in raising Non-conformance reports (NCR) and managing Non-conforming products.Proven experience in modern manufacturing techniques, ERP system, data analysis and visualization.Experience with ISO9001 Quality Management System.Quality Assurance / Quality Control in Rail, Defence, Aviation, Mining, Manufacturing or a similar heavy industry.Working rights in Australia.An agile, inclusive and responsible culture is the foundation of our company where diverse people are offered excellent opportunities to grow, learn and advance in their careers.
