An opportunity exists for Registered Nurses within the Central Sterilising Unit to lead and deliver person-centred nursing care, acting as a leader in the coordination and delivery of nursing care and contributing to education, research, quality, and safety to achieve the best patient outcomes. Opportunities exist for an experienced RN with a minimum of Certificate III in Sterilising (or working towards) to join our workforce as we expand our services across facilities. Sterilising roles at Nambour will involve training in all areas of the sterilising department incorporating Steam sterilisation, Sterrad, and scope reprocessing across all our surgical specialties and patient care delivery departments.

Key Responsibilities include:
* Adhere to defined service quality standards, health and safety policies, and procedures to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
* Fulfil the responsibilities of this role in accordance with Schedule 2, Nurses and Midwives (Queensland Health Award) – State 2015 – Generic Level Statements Nurse Grade 5 and the Queensland Public Service values.
* Understand your broad responsibilities for safety and quality in healthcare, actively participate in continuous quality and safety improvement activities within the workplace, and notify a relevant clinical or non-clinical responsible officer when concerns exist about workplace or patient safety.
* Practice in accordance with code of ethics, professional standards, and legislation affecting nursing practice by maintaining current knowledge and competence within scope of position.
Salary between $82,753 - $106,144 p.a. (f/t) or salary rates: $41.73 - $53.53 p.h. (p/t), employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (Nurse Grade 5) (Permanent Full-time and/or Part-time positions available, hours negotiable, and Temporary Part-time positions available for six months with possible extension).
