ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITYWe are seeking an experienced Clinical Team Lead to join our dedicated team. In this pivotal role, you will lead and support a group of Wellbeing Clinicians delivering high-quality, evidence-based mental health services to veterans. Balancing leadership with a small clinical caseload, you will play a vital role in maintaining frontline care expertise and supporting the professional development of your team. WHAT YOU WILL DOAs Clinical Team Lead, your responsibilities will include: Leadership and Supervision: Providing clinical supervision, mentoring, and support to Wellbeing Clinicians. Conducting performance reviews and fostering professional growth. Monitoring compliance with clinical guidelines, organisational policies, and KPIs. Promoting a team culture aligned with AVHS values: collaboration, compassion, excellence, honesty, and knowledge. Acting as the primary escalation point for complex clinical cases. Clinical Practice: Maintaining a reduced caseload to deliver high-quality mental health care to veterans. Conducting diagnostic assessments and providing evidence-based psychological interventions. Collaborating on client care plans with veterans and multidisciplinary teams. Ensuring clinical documentation meets professional, DVA, and organisational standards. Strategic and Operational Support: Collaborating with the Chief Clinical Officer to enhance services and workflows. Contributing to quality improvement initiatives and policy development. Supporting recruitment, induction, and training for new Wellbeing Clinicians. Ensuring compliance with WHS, privacy, anti-discrimination, and equal opportunity laws. Stakeholder Collaboration: Building strong relationships with veteran organisations, advocates, and service providers. Representing AVHS at professional and community events. ABOUT YOUYou are a compassionate, experienced Clinical Psychologist and a confident leader committed to improving the mental health and wellbeing of veterans. You excel in both clinical practice and team supervision, balancing a clinical caseload with strategic leadership responsibilities. Selection Criteria: Registration as a Clinical Psychologist with AHPRA. Extensive experience in mental health care, including advanced assessment and intervention skills. Proven experience supervising and mentoring clinical staff. Ability to manage a clinical caseload while leading a team. Strong interpersonal and communication skills to foster collaboration and teamwork. Expertise in applying DSM-5 criteria and working within DVA clinical guidelines. Experience in veteran mental health or military-related services. Understanding of military culture, transition challenges, and service-related mental health conditions.
