With extensive experience in electrical infrastructure, they excel in integrating solar and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) into the grid.Role OverviewReporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Principal/Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for: Planning and designing projects Managing and controlling assigned projects Ensuring timely completion and compliance with customer requirements Maximizing efficiency in resource utilization and project profitability Collaborating within a cross-disciplinary engineering team Communicating effectively with all stakeholders Overseeing all technical work in accordance with OHS&E, contract, and QA requirements Key Responsibilities BESS and Solar PV Plant Design Prepare single line diagrams, protection SLDs, site layouts, and substation elevations (275kV, 132kV, 66kV) Conduct earthing studies using CDGES software Perform insulation coordination studies using EMTP software Prepare lightning protection studies and reports Conduct short circuit studies and force calculations Perform protection studies using ETAP/DigSilent Size MV cables using CYMCAP software Prepare DC cable sizing reports Conduct arc flash studies Demonstrate basic knowledge of grid connection studies Perform fault level calculations and load flow studies using ETAP software Design battery storage layouts, SLDs, and related calculations Project Management Monitor design resource allocation and effectiveness Support procurement, construction, and commissioning teams Coordinate with external design consultants Liaise with authorities on design and construction permits Ensure timely design outputs and project requirement satisfaction Control design costs within budget Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering Qualifications acceptable for Member grade of Engineers Australia Chartered Engineer status with RPEQ (essential) Customer-focused and team-oriented Accountable and results-driven Energetic with a positive, can-do attitude Adaptable and quick to learn new skills and technologies How to ApplyTo apply for this exciting opportunity, please submit your application directly through to (email protected).
