We are driven by our purpose of bridging ambition and action to deliver the energy transition.Description:Scope and Team accountabilities:As a result of our continued growth and pipeline of work in delivering this critical work to the NSW and Australian consumers, an additional Manager, Commercial position is newly available and open for consideration. Sitting within the AEMO Services (ASL) Commercial team, this role will contribute to the teams' ambition to deliver energy transition in Australia at the lowest cost and risk to electricity consumers and government. The ASL commercial team contribute to this through competitive tenders, which deliver timely, high quality, energy infrastructure. For ASL’s Commercial team this means:Working closely with private sector investors to establish relationships of trust.Commercial design of products and contracts (e.g. design LTESA, REZ access rights and in collaboration with government partners).Tender design and end-to-end delivery of the tender process for the procurement of energy infrastructure for NSW.Collaborate with EnergyCo and other government partners to ensure REZ access rights become products capable of tendering.Design and implement a robust probity framework in the tender process.Role Responsibilities:Reporting to Senior Manager, Commercial, the Manager, Commercial is responsible for preparing, delivering and project managing key elements of ASL’s commercial tenders and tender designs. This includes:Supporting the Senior Manager(s) and General, Commercial and ASL executive team members in planning, delivering and managing ASL tenders.Preparing and delivering important aspects of ASL’s tenders including commercial designs, tender collateral and tender analysis, applying exceptional writing skills.Managing parts of the tender process/work stream and instructing other staff or advisors on a workstream(s) to manage and deliver tenders.Preparing high-quality written materials to facilitate tenders, inform and educate ASL stakeholders.Applying strong project management skills to execute and manage tender delivery and commercial, mutually acceptable outcomes.Managing teams of employees and advisers undertaking evaluation and due diligence of large numbers of tender participants with complex issues.Supporting communication with tender proponents and other stakeholders (including internal stakeholders, government, banks and investors).Developing understanding and adhering to governance and probity requirements in all of ASL’s processes.Defining a clear overall purpose based on a good understanding of the issues that regulation is intended to address.Proactively seeking out opportunities to identify and implement efficiencies to the risk and compliance management processes.Skills and Experiences:Critical capabilities:Demonstrated experience within a similar role or remit of work within the renewable energy or similar industry.Strong project management understanding to analyse and respond to project requirements and ongoing needs to achieve goals.Demonstrated professionalism and an active contributor to a culture of integrity, accountability and willingness.Ability to exercise judgement applicable to the level of responsibility, including sound knowledge of escalating decisions, identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies and facilitating necessary decision making.Excellent communication skills, particularly written and ability to translate technical and complex information clearly and concisely.Proven abilities to influence and negotiate, considering and responding to multiple and divergent viewpoints and priorities and collaborate across a range of internal and external stakeholders.Excellent attention to detail and innate desire to deliver work to the highest standard and driven to deliver results.An objective thinker who can critically analyse to draw accurate conclusions that recognise and manage contextual issues and explore a range of possibilities and creative alternatives to contribute to system, process and business improvements.As a flexible workplace, AEMO Service can consider any Australian based location for our successful employee, however preference will be given to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane based applicants.
