co-ordination and implementation of a range of environmental management and monitoring programs, with particular emphasis on: Compliance associated with water quality Catchment protection Dieback hygiene Hazardous materials management Biodiversity management Waste management and specific projects which enable the mine to comply with required legislation and standards.We are excited to offer this role on a family friendly 7:7 roster (7 days on, 7 days off) – working 10.3 hours per day – driving in and out of our Huntly Mine Site.Key Responsibilities The Senior Environmental Advisor will assume the Site Environment team lead role when the Environmental Superintendent is not present, which includes: Liaising with regulators during site inspections Reporting and escalating incidents Undertaking incident investigations Providing guidance to the environmental and operational teams on environmental matters The role of the Senior Mine Environmental Advisor is to drive the implementation of environmental initiatives and achievement of environmental standards at the operations which includes: Leading environmental projects Conducting environmental training Communicating and driving the achievement of environmental standards Auditing, inspections, environmental monitoring, data management and analysis Performance and Compliance Drive site performance to achieve environmental standards by clearly communicating standards, driving or participating problem solving to achieve standards.Coordinate and undertake environmental monitoring and manage environmental data ensuring alignment with QA/QC requirements.Interpret environmental data and develop environmental reports.Conduct environmental audits and inspections to ensure environmental standards are being achieved.Implement the standards and processes identified in Alcoa's Environmental Management system.Facilitate compliance with all environmental legislation, licences, commitments and
