What you'll be doing
The Assistant In Nursing will assist the registered nurse and enrolled nurse with the planning, provision and documentation of patient care, working within the framework of the policies of SWSLHD, the Ministry of Health and the NSW legislative and statutory requirements.

Bankstown-Lidcombe Hospital is located in the city of Bankstown and is in one of the most multicultural local government areas (LGA) in Australia. This hospital has tertiary affiliations with three universities and offers a range of roles and experiences to employees.
The hospital receives highly diverse presentations in ED as well as having general medical and surgical services and sub-specialty services across the hospital. 1. Successfully completed Certificate III in Assistant in Nursing - Acute Care.
2. Demonstrated ability to work under supervision and provide safe compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive
3. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and engage with patients/consumers, carers and the multidisciplinary health care team to identify and ensure responsiveness of care needs
4. Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise
5. Demonstrated evidence of the use of critical thinking as it relates to the delivery of evidenced based nursing care
6. Demonstrated understanding and participation in risk management, work health and safety and quality improvement in the workplace
7. A thorough understanding of scope of practice and demonstrated ability to work within scope boundaries.
