Your new role
In this exciting position, you will report directly to the workshop foreman. Your responsibilities will include:
* General mechanical works
* Preventative maintenance
* Both major and minor repairs
* Carrying out breakdown repairs on waste trucks
* Scheduled maintenance
* Working on rubbish trucks performing repairs, maintenance, and services, as well as some breakdowns
What you'll need to succeed
* Cert III Heavy Vehicle qualification
* Proven experience with repairing rubbish trucks, side loaders, or tipper bodies
* Current HR truck driver's licence and Forklift licence (advantageous)
* Experience in hydraulics, automotive electrics, and welding (highly regarded)
* Familiarity with Quality Assurance and Occupational Health & Safety
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Reliability, motivation, and ability to work under pressure and changing priorities
* Own basic hand tools
* Full driver's licence and own reliable transport
