Position Overview
We are looking for a National Sales Manager to join our Senior Leadership Team (SLT) and head up Zone RV Sales Team in a brand-new role. This exciting role will be responsible for leading national sales for the Zone RV business unit. Strategically this role will work with the CEO and Chief Brand Officer to develop and implement sales strategies and deliver sales targets while ensuring customer satisfaction is at the core of all business touchpoints. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales leadership, digital sales platforms, hitting and growing sales targets, and an in-depth understanding of the Australian caravan and RV market.
Key Responsibilities against our Organisational Pillars
Brand & Reputation
* Embrace and ambassador 'The Zone Way' values from day one
* Ensure that every Zone RV buyer receives ‘The Summit Experience’
* Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders
* Confidently measure and improve customer sales satisfaction
Product Architecture
* Deliver sales programs in collaboration with the marketing team
* Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer preferences to adapt sales strategies accordingly
* Collaborate with the Design & Engineering teams to provide insights based on customer feedback
Leadership & Learning
* Lead and manage the national sales team to drive sales education in the RV marketplace
* Work as an active member of the Senior Leadership Team
* Show the sales team how to drive growth in a premium product space
Manufacturing Controls
* Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and performance analysis to senior management
* Drive sales meetings, target close plans, and getting to yes
* Ensure smooth handover to the Customer Journey team so that 'The Summit Experience' is prioritised and maintained throughout the sales process
Commercial Discipline
* Ensure the sales team is fully supported and on track to hit sales targets and KPIs
* Apply a commercial approach to revenue and profit through sales
* Attention to detail on the marketing and sales pipeline information, ensuring a response plan is in place for dealing with marketplace variability
Digital Core
* Digital literacy is key; we deliver over $100m in revenue through a single digital marketing and sales pipeline
* Ensure the sales team is empowered and optimised by digital tools and knowledgebase
* Ensure our buyers are well educated through online information and fully supported throughout the buying process
Qualifications & Experience
* Significant experience within the adventure, off road and/or RV industry
* 10+ years’ experience in sales and business development
* Proven experience in a sales leadership role within the caravan space
* Excellent leadership and people management abilities
* Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills
* Ability to analyse sales data and market trends to drive decision-making
* Willingness to travel nationally as required
* Must have strong hands-on skills in relation to digital sales platforms (CRM)
