The role
AAMI (Part of Suncorp Group) is looking for a best-in-class Claims Advisor to provide exceptional customer service whilst driving commercial outcomes.

What you’ll do
1. Offer the most exceptional customer service
2. Manage a portfolio of claims and proactively work to resolve claims within the earliest possible timeframes whilst achieving an optimal outcome
3. Management and negotiation of pre-proceedings and litigated claims, including communication with claimants and solicitors, by phone, correspondence and/or attending settlement conferences and/or hearings
4. Overall management of individual claims to ensure appropriate strategies are followed in order to reduce the average duration and cost
5. Continually assess the Quantum and Estimate of claims utilising the evidence available and in accordance with procedural requirement
6. Work within the designated Delegation of Authority
7. Utilise and collaborate with Injury Management Advisor and Technical Advisor
8. Utilise and collaborate with relevant internal business areas (e.g. Fraud and Investigations, Sharing & Recoveries, Resolution Services) to discuss and action plan file direction
Skills & Experience
9. Ability to demonstrate compassion and empathy for the customer
10. Excellent verbal communication skills – listen, build rapport, communicate complex information and negotiate with a variety of stakeholders included claimants, third-party providers, external bodies and internal teams
11. Strong administrative and written skills and the ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim within the restraints of the SA State legislation
12. Strong commitment and a high degree of integrity to help meet and exceed customer expectations
13. Claims management experience would be highly regarded, as would Allied Health and/or legal experience
