About the role:
The Support Office Café Manager will be based at the Bunnings Support Office in Burnley, leading a large team of café team members, ensuring all day-to-day café operations, including developing and innovating the menu, fostering a strong coffee experience, and ongoing team development. This role includes overseeing ordering, rostering, training, and compliance.
This role provides great autonomy which allows you to continue to evolve and shape the offer and culture. Innovation, training, and team leadership are key aspects of this role; our ideal candidate will continue to make things better and challenge the status quo.
What's involved:
1. Ensuring seamless operation of food, coffee, and customer experience in our support office cafes (operating Mon – Fri)
2. Leading from the front to cultivate a positive team environment
3. Prioritising safety by ensuring compliance with both regulatory and company standards
4. Overseeing menu planning, rostering, and training
5. Stock ordering and control management
You’ll need:
1. Diploma of Management or similar preferred
2. Several years of experience in Food Safety and the Hospitality industry
3. Strong coffee knowledge and barista training
4. Extensive experience in team management, leadership, and coaching within hospitality and cafés or similar
5. Ability to support café team members and leaders
6. Experience in Hospitality Training, training leaders, and café coaching onsite & liaising with training providers
7. Proficient in Microsoft Suite for ad hoc administration and rostering
8. Strong communication, negotiation skills, and relationship building with both internal and external stakeholders
9. Customer service centric, resourceful with high organisational skills, and the ability to take initiative
