Job Description
The Payroll Officer facilitates accurate and timely processing of a high-volume payroll function, including fortnightly time sheets for a casual workforce across multiple awards as well as fortnightly administrative payroll.
This position is responsible for ensuring correct advice as applicable to both staff and clients and the maintenance of related records, both hard copy and computer based.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Facilitate the end-to-end processing and administration of the Primary Health Services payroll, partnering with the Primary Health Services and HCA Finance teams to ensure precision and integrity of payroll data.
* Ensure that pay related employee records are maintained in accordance with legislative requirements.
* Act as a key point of contact and respond to and resolve payroll enquiries and issues that may be escalated from front line and support staff.
Qualifications
* Minimum 3 years payroll experience.
* Competent and capable in all areas of payroll processing and maintains up to date knowledge as required.
* Ability to interpret Awards and apply relevant legislation.
* Customer service focus.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skill including the ability to articulate ideas, present opinions and build strong working relationships with stakeholders.
* Problem solving and analytical skills.
