About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Compliance Officer to join our team. This role is essential to ensuring our ongoing compliance with legislative, client, and industry standards across key areas such as work health and safety, environmental management, quality assurance, human resources, heavy vehicle operations, and chain of responsibility requirements.
As part of the management team, you will work closely with internal stakeholders, employees, and external regulatory bodies to uphold the company’s commitment to compliance, safety, and operational excellence. Additionally, you will provide essential support to our Administration Officer, as required.
Key Responsibilities
* Policy & Procedure Management: Develop, implement, audit, and maintain internal policies and procedures in compliance with legal and client requirements.
* Operational Oversight: Support day-to-day operations and major projects by planning, monitoring, and auditing staff and equipment compliance.
* Training & Staff Management: Conduct staff training, onboard new employees, maintain training records, and oversee compliance-related HR functions.
* Risk & Compliance: Conduct regular audits, risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure adherence to legislative and client obligations.
* Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key contact for clients, regulatory agencies, and auditors while ensuring strong customer service.
* Business Administration Support: Assist the Administration Officer with administrative tasks as required, record-keeping, reporting, and invoicing – particularly as back-up, taking on the role during periods of absence of admin staff.
* Management & Organisational Duties: Participate in system reviews, management meetings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
* Professional Conduct: Maintain confidentiality, uphold ethical standards, and ensure compliance with internal and external expectations.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will possess:
* Experience in managing business compliance systems.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to plan, consult, and prioritise.
* Ability to provide expert advice and clear instruction to workers and management.
* A deep understanding of relevant legislative and industry requirements.
* High-level numeracy and literacy skills for reporting, training, and documentation.
* Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously in a multi-disciplinary team.

* Safety Qualifications.
* NSW Driver’s Licence.
* Drug and alcohol testing qualifications.
* First Aid Certificate
* Environmental Qualifications
* Supervisory Qualifications.
