About your opportunity:

This position provides a fantastic opportunity to enjoy the Charters Towers region, whilst providing high quality Speech Pathology services to the communities of Charters Towers, Hughenden and Richmond. This is an ideal opportunity to showcase your well-developed speech pathology clinical and service delivery skills in order to deliver evidence based, responsive and innovate Speech Pathology services to the acute, community, aged care and outreach settings.
As a HP3 to HP4 Rural Development Pathway position, you will have the opportunity to join our amazing team whilst providing high quality Speech Pathology services to the communities of Charters Towers, Hughenden, and Richmond. As the successful candidate you will have the chance to build your skills under a formal pathway, completing an intensive development plan along the way. Upon successful completion of the development activities, you will have the chance to transition into a more Senior HP4 role, delivering complex, responsive and innovate Speech Pathology services to the acute, community, aged care and outreach settings.
Participation in the HP3 to HP4 Rural Development Pathway and the Intensive Development Plan including completion of all required development activities is mandatory for this position.

2. Salary range of $2941.70 to $5132.40 p.f. (HP3/HP4)
3. 4 weeks annual leave with 17.5% loading

Candidate Requirements:
5. Proof of qualification (Speech Pathology) and registration or membership (if applicable) with the appropriate registration authority or association.
6. This is a Vaccine Preventable Diseases (VPD) risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and Pertussis.
7. National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) Worker Screening Check: As a Health Care worker in Queensland Health who engages in risk-assessed roles, you must hold a current disability check (Yellow Card or Yellow Card Exemption) or an NDIS worker screening check, in accordance with Part 5 of the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld).
8. Blue Card Checks: Potential applicants are advised that the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian Act 2000 requires Queensland Health to seek a ‘working with children check' from the Commission for Children and Young People and Child Guardian prior to appointment to this position.
9. Possession of class C drivers' licence.
10. Probation period may apply.
11. Pre-employment checks will be conducted.
