The Role & Project MACA is on the hunt for a Mining Supervisor to join our mining business on a permanent, full-time basis, working an 8/6 FIFO (DS:NS) roster from Perth to Miralga Creek.
The Miralga Creek Project, owned by Atlas Iron, is situated approximately 100km from the Utah Point stockyard at Port Hedland, with production of 1.9Mtpa.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Mining Supervisor is responsible for leading and mentoring a crew of Production Operators to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.

Key responsibilities: Ensure that all work activities are conducted in accordance with contract/project management plans and statutory requirements.
A distinct understanding of managing procurement, plant, equipment and resources.
Ensure that all technical, engineering and specified aspects of the work activity are complete prior to commencement of works.
Support day to day activities, providing direction to production crews, ensuring effective shift handovers, prestart and toolbox meetings.
Identify areas for improvement, assess training requirements and provide coaching and development opportunities for staff.
To be successful in this role, you will possess: A demonstrated track record of fostering safety in the workplace.
Proven experience as a Production Supervisor, leading and mentoring teams effectively to drive production performance outcomes.
Extensive experience in open pit mining.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are a must, allowing you to build relationships across the team and departments.
Working knowledge of the Regulation/Legislation.
Hold a current WHS Statutory Responsibilities for Mining Supervisors (SRMS) certificate (replaces Section 44) Proven and effective people management skills.
Effective problem solving skills.
Able to act as a strong and positive example to the workforce.
Current driver's licence.
