About the Role The Director, Infrastructure Assurance is at the forefront of the Investor Assurance function of Infrastructure NSW who provides advice directly to Government on the State's significant infrastructure projects, asset management program, and the development of mitigation measures and tools to address impacts on the portfolio.In this dynamic role, you will provide leadership, collaborative stakeholder engagement and contribute to capability development of public sector professionals across the NSW public sector engaged in infrastructure planning and delivery.As a trusted advisor, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of the build infrastructure program and project assurance functions, including managing key workstreams and collaborating and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders to optimise service delivery and NSW Government priorities.The Director, Infrastructure Assurance will lead the review of High-Profile High Risk, Tier 2 and Tier 3 projects, including identification of project risks, trends, and themes.Participate in program/project working groups and other forums to influence and provide expert advice/guidance and cross-government perspective.Some of the key accountabilities for the role include: Lead the development and delivery of built infrastructure assurance functions for programs and projects across agencies/portfolios, including supporting the development of forward program reviews, and negotiating appropriate close out of agency review recommendations.Deliver high level reporting and analysis of reviews including the identification of trends, themes, and risks.Participate in reviewer management and evaluation, including managing the engagement of reviewers, sourcing additional capabilities and matching reviewers to projects, monitoring the performance of reviewers, and recommending capability development objectives.Negotiate and collaborate with senior internal and external stakeholders, providing expert advice, mitigation and improvement measures, analysis, and recommendations relating to project deliverables, risks, issues, and interdependencies.
