About Our Client: Our client, with locations in Archerfield, Richlands and Acacia Ridge QLD are seeking experienced trade qualified Boilermakers for ongoing day shift Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week with optional overtime. About the Role: The primary focus of this role is to support the product through the company by diligently carrying out maintenance, repair and recondition jobs of earthmoving machinery as directed to a satisfactory standard of quality workmanship and in a timely manner. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Perform fabrication and repairs work on all components of earthmoving machinery sold and/or serviced by the Company as directed by Leading Hand or immediate supervisor Research and consult the correct and latest service information systems for specific procedures, instructions and specifications Research and use the correct and latest available information when dismantling and assembling components Take all reasonable steps to ensure that assigned tasks are free of faulty workmanship, assuring quality in the finished product Ensure fabrication and repairs are carried out using the appropriate control guidelines to ensure that rework jobs do not occur. This is to include check sheets, quality control procedures and guidelines. This may require adhering to specific OEM welding procedure Ensure contamination control guidelines and procedures are to be understood and adhered to at all times Ensure all assigned tasks are completed within required target times Determine reusability of all disassembled parts Ensure any additional work or defects that are identified are immediately brought to the attention of the Leading Hand Provide assistance to other tradespersons in carrying out daily tasks Ensure adequate communications are maintained with Leading Hand Ensure any additional work or defects that are identified are immediately brought to the attention of the Leading Hand Direct customer enquiries to the Leading Hand Identify possible areas of wastage and work towards continuous improvement About you: Current Driver's Licence Trade Certificate for relevant qualification Minimum two years’ experience in a comparable role within the mechanical or similar heavy industry Skills to work safely and move components/parts without damage to self, others, the components/parts and equipment Skills to communicate effectively in a workshop environment, while working with others, including Tradespersons and Leading Hands Able to complete a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol testing CoreStaff is a leader in workplace diversity and we encourage applications from Indigenous Australians for all roles, females for non-traditional female roles, and applicants with disabilities to apply for all of our jobs.
