The Position We are seeking a Physio Technician to join our expanding Allied Health team.
The purpose of the role is to provide clinical support to the team of Physiotherapists, including supervised care to patients as required by the Physiotherapists.
Day to day duties for this role will include (but not be limited to): Provision of clinical assistance and supervised care in relation to preparation, positioning, movement and transport of patients as directed by the Physiotherapists Assist with the supervision of clients' practice of established exercise programs in both individual and group sessions Effective interpersonal and communication skills that enhances and supports quality patient care that builds team trust and confidence Maintenance of equipment and aids The Person Strong emphasis will be placed on the applicant's ability to demonstrate the organisations values of Courage, Diligence, Compassion, Wisdom and Friendliness, as well as their ability to commit to and apply these values in the workplace.
Key Selection Criteria Completion of Certificate III Allied Health Assistance or Tertiary Education commenced in an appropriate field, such as Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy or Exercise Physiology Relevant experience gained that demonstrates knowledge and skills transferrable to an Physio Technician role Ability to operate and maintain equipment utilised within the Allied Health team Demonstrated experience in an Allied Health environment working with individuals and/or group patient programs Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate, share information and work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary health team How to Apply If you are passionate about providing complete patient care and delivering exceptional customer service, please submit the following: A cover letter and detailed resume (including 2 professional referees) A statement addressing the Key Selection Criteria (maximum two pages) Submit your application on our website https://thefriendlies.org.au/careers/ and complete the Application for Employment form.
