Salary: Between $66,244 & $85,418 (pro-rata) per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
Hours: Part-time – 64 hours per fortnight
Relocation: Up to $5,000 in relocation expenses for approved candidates

About the Role:
Now is your chance to shape the future of mental health and wellbeing in Victoria! Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals are an important part of Victoria’s reformed mental health and wellbeing system. The Victorian Government has committed to establishing 50 Mental Health and Wellbeing Locals, with 2 of these being established in Bairnsdale and Orbost. Working together, GLCH, Wellways and Latrobe Regional Health will provide a range of support and therapies specific to what the community needs, whenever and wherever they are needed.
The Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker (Aboriginal) is employed by Gippsland Lakes Complete Health and will work with other disciplines of the Local Service. You will be well educated in Aboriginal culture and will assist and advise clinical staff on community, cultural respect and language matters with the goal of improving outcomes for participants, carers, and the wider community. You will be skilled in community engagement and advocacy and have extensive experience in social and emotional wellbeing or Aboriginal health practice, and building a participant and community-led, inclusive, and values-driven culture. You will have strong local Aboriginal connections and networks and a commitment to the local Aboriginal community.
Skills & Experience:
* Minimum Certificate IV in Mental Health or related discipline.
* Strong cultural knowledge of local Aboriginal community.
* Experience working with local Aboriginal community members.
