About the Role :
Our client, a leading hotel management group, is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join their renowned pub in Orange, NSW. We are looking for a passionate, hands-on Assistant Manager who values a customer-first approach to be part of our client’s senior management team. The hotel offers a vibrant, entertainment-focused atmosphere, featuring a bistro, TAB, onsite accommodation, gaming facilities, and event spaces.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Oversee operations across all areas of the venue, including bar, food service, functions, gaming, and events.
2. Lead and motivate the team to ensure an exceptional customer experience.
3. Manage cost control measures and work with the team to implement sales-driving initiatives.
4. Set a strong example for the team, fostering a positive and engaging workplace culture.
Please Note : Availability for nights, weekends, and public holidays is required.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have :
1. 2-3 years’ experience in a hands-on, floor-based hospitality role, preferably in a pub, club, or similar environment.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. A keen eye for detail and a high standard of personal presentation.
4. Ability to work independently and within a team.
5. Excellent time management and organisational skills.
6. Proven experience in staff management, rostering, and allocation.
7. A passion for food and beverage service.
8. Strong problem-solving and conflict management abilities.
9. Capability to build strong relationships with clients and suppliers.
10. A reliable and motivated attitude with a drive to succeed.
11. Valid driver’s license and own transport.
12. RSA & ARCG Certification (essential).
